| The day started out cold and gray, but it didn't stop the brothers and sisters of our church from showing up for our church field trip at Solano Park, ready for food, fun and fellowship. After a time of worship and prayer, the two hundred or so adults, young adults, youth and children split up for a time of games. The young children started to hunt for their Easter eggs, while the rest of the picnickers played organized games of badminton, volleyball and even Chinese Checkers! Other activities included fishing in the river and playing catch with the frisbee and football. By noontime, all were hunger and ready for the hot dogs, hamburgers, and other tasty dishes brought by various members of the church. The sun soon came out, and the picnickers wrapped up their delightful afternoon at the park with more games, conversation, and fellowship. |
