We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the
original manuscripts and authoritative for daily living. We believe that
there is one God eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy
Spirit. We believe in the deity
of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His
substitutionary death for our sins, His bodily resurrection and His second
coming. We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by practice, are sentenced to eternal separation from God and are in need of personal salvation by faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who have so trusted in Christ as their Savior as indwelt by the Holy Spirit of God and enabled to live a godly life through submission to Him. We believe that the church, under the headship of Christ, is a body made up of all born-again persons in this present age. We believe in the resurrection of the saved unto enternal life. The principles of our services and worship format are as follows: Christ is the head of the church; all born-again Christian are priests; although the pastors normally deliver sermons, conduct baptism, and lead communion for the church as a whole, every spiritually mature brother can administer the emblems used in communion service, perform baptisms, or deliver sermons; the leadership of the Holy Spirit is sought and upheld in all services and as such we do not follow any specific ceremonial tradition. The role of the pastoral staff if to equip the body of believers so they can do the work of ministry, and discover and utilize their spiritual gifts for the glory of God and for the edification of the Body of Christ. The role fo the elder/deacon board is to oversee the administration of the local body of Christ, so that the pastoral staff can focus on the ministries of prayer, the exposition of the Word and other sacerdotal functions, visitation, and the encouragement and training up of leaders in the church. Moreover, in the interest of: preserving unity and harmony in the Body of Christ, helping the Body of Christ to focus on the task of the Great Commission, and avoiding the potential dangers associated with certain practices of the Charismatic movement (e.g. the counterfeiting of gifts, unnecessary confusion and conflict), there has been no practice of advocacy of speaking in tongues, healing, and open prophecy in the fellowship meetings and in the church services. It is our sincere desire and prayer that every person may experience the assurance of forgiveness and life that comes to those who have trusted the Savior. If you are unsure about your relationship with Christ, we invite you to talk to any one of the church leaders. |
